The Columbus Area Historical Society was founded in 2010 by Kim Bates, Marsha Dake, Shelly and Wally Hlaban, Peter Kaland and Dan Wagner. They were interested in collecting, preserving and sharing the unique and significant historical artifacts and stories of the area of Columbus, Columbia County, Wisconsin.
